Anime Baka

Anime - Japanese Animation
Baka - Japanese word for idiot or fool

Loosely put an Anime Baka is someone who's crazy about Anime. However interpretation's may vary. I tend to think of Anime Baka as meaning something like drooling fan boy/girl.

Anime Baka Contact

Wrote this a long time ago. Too short for an article:
Perverted - Hentai in Japanese. But the word pervert means deviation from normal or accepted. So, how can all guys be perverts?

Did you ever notice that the sex scene in the movie is generally at about the same realative place as the guitar solo in a song?

2011-07-08 Desk Full of Gum
This is really depressing. I have a ton of Extra gum. It's really good. But....

Someone told me this and I tested it and guess what it's true. Most of the modern sweeteners make you hungry. Also it may not be an immediate reaction. Wednesday I chewed several sticks of gum. I chewed a couple Thursday and was ravenous. The culprit in this case seems to be Aspartame. These are also very popular in diet sodas.

The story goes like this, your body tastes the sweet and gets a sampling of the sweet and expects a sugar rush that never comes. This let-down leaves your body crying out for nutrition (sweets and carbs more-so). So you sit down and eat a box of cookies, or a bag of chips. Perhaps you wash it down with a diet coke.....repeat.

When I was avoiding these artificial sweeteners I had no such issues. I didn't completely stop, just didn't do them all the time. Diet Coke couple times a week, stick of gum couple times a week, that sort of thing. Bad seems to be repeated inhalation of any of them. Drinking a six pack a day, chewing gum nonstop at work. Anything more than one a day seems to be entering unknown territory.

Stevia (truvia etc) may or may not be included in these artificial sweeteners. I understand it is not, but I have not personally confirmed this as I've never had very much of it. Perhaps I should make some sweet tea with it and give it a test in a few weeks.

You know the whole story of Diet Coke and a bucket of chicken makes sense in light of this. The more you try to be good and eat less the more hungry you get. Shunning artificial sweeteners I was never hungry like that. Guess the gum in my desk is going to last me a few years.

(imagine a cute or dirty tagline here)
